Africa Day also celebrates African unity and allows us to reflect on the continent\u2019s achievements and common challenges. The AU has themed this year\u2019s celebration\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/au.int\/en\/theme\/2022\/year-nutrition#:~:text=The%20general%20objective%20of%20the,address%20the%20ongoing%20nutrition%20challenges.\">2022: The Year of Nutrition<\/a>, with a goal of increasing food and nutrition security across the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>YouTube&#8217;s Africa Day Concert is back for its 3rd year with host Idris Elba and some of Africa&#8217;s finest music artists, like Davido and Yemi Alade. The concert will stream live on Wednesday, May 25th starting at 1:00pm EST\/6:00pm WAT\/7:00pm CAT\/8:00pm EAT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Africa Day Concert 2022 - Idris Elba\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NgRG4_14GKY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Also in celebration of Africa Day, for the entire month of May Netflix is featuring a special collection of African stories from across the continent called &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.netflix.com\/browse\/genre\/81594388\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">From Cape to Cairo<\/a>&#8220;. This collection includes titles like &#8220;Our Music, Our Culture, Our History,&#8221; &#8220;Award-Winners &amp; Critics\u2019 Favourites,&#8221; &#8220;African Women Behind the Camera,&#8221; &#8220;Love Across the Continent,&#8221; &#8220;Stories From The African Diaspora,&#8221; and more. Apple has several podcast replays which highlight the holiday, including <a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/why-is-africa-day-important\/id1509963702?i=1000476151028\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Why Is Africa Day Important?<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/gb\/podcast\/celebrating-africa-day-top-10-companies-in-africa-update\/id1511914661?i=1000475776569\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Celebrating Africa Day<\/a>. And organizations around the globe will hold symposiums and other gatherings on May 25th.
