Uganda

Officially the Republic of Uganda, Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa, bordered by Kenya, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, and Tanzania. Kampala is the capital and largest city.

Better known as the Pearl of Africa, Uganda packs a lot into one small country. It is home to the source of the Nile, the world's longest river. A substantial portion of Africa's largest lake, Lake Victoria, is located there. Africa's highest mountain range, the Rwenzoris, is also found in Uganda. Uganda is one of 13 countries the equator passes through and visitors can simultaneously stand on the north and south hemisphere there. And along with Rwanda and DR Congo, it's one of only 3 places in the world to see mountain gorillas in the wild.

With beautiful landscapes, excellent wildlife watching, a plethora of adventure activities, welcoming locals, and a vibrant nightlife, Uganda offers amazing experiences to visitors. Popular attractions include Kabaka’s Palace, Idi Amin Torture Chambers, Uganda National Mosque, the tree climbing lions at Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls, white water rafting and bungee jumping in Jinja, and gorilla trekking at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
